Not much time now

There's not much time now.

Not much time.

Where each day used to promise possibility,

now they come with the tick-tock of time.

There's not much time now.

Not much time.

Thanks to give.

Meals to have.

Forgiveness to ask.

Not much time now.

Not much time.

No longer what might happen.

Instead, what is no longer an option.

I've come to accept imperfect --

A trade for living.

I'd rather adventure than have.

I'd rather laugh than lament.

I'd rather sit together in silent appreciation than plan a fix.

Because there's no time to waste.

There's not much time now.

Not much time.
