Today at yoga

Today at yoga I found myself rushing.

Rushing through the spots that were uncomfortable.

Anticipating the teacher’s next moves.

Getting out of one pose and into the other before her cue.

Once I noticed, I was aware.

Aware enough to coach myself:

  • Come back to your breath.
  • Remind yourself you’re stronger than you believe you are.
  • Come alive in the transitions.

Sit with the discomfort.

… part of what you’re doing here at 6:15am is training yourself to begin to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.

How many times do we flee the discomfort in our professional lives?

The ambiguity?

The transition?

The opposing point of view?

All we need to do is:

  • Notice…
  • Come back to our breath…
  • Remind ourselves we are stronger than we could imagine.

Then, be present in the moment. Asking “what is this moment trying to teach me?”

Wait. And, it will be revealed.

Ask. And, your curiosity will open your aperture.

Soften. And, the insight will come.

Trust. That you are right where you are supposed to be.

    Happy Monday!

    1. You have a beautiful soul, Marcela. Sometimes when a challenge appears before us, it can consume us as we fight to get back to feeling better. But, just letting it be with us and paying attention to the life within us…makes everything possible. Thank you for taking the time today to read this…I’m so glad it lifted you up.
